They grow up fast, and the Mixi convertible kick scooter is ready to grow with them. The two-in-one Mixi gives kids the extra stability of three wheels while they need it, then lets parents switch it up to a standard two-wheel scooter as their child’s confidence and abilities develop.
Studies suggest that children at age 3 have the coordination required to use a 3-wheeled scooter, but may not have developed the balance required to operate 2-wheeled scooters. The Kixi Mixi is the perfect ride for youngsters who are almost ready to make this transition. The Mixi’s unique rear wheel assembly makes the process of converting from three wheels to two a snap and, in a matter of minutes, allows your child’s favorite ride to grow up alongside them.
In this short guide, we’ll show you how to quickly switch the Kixi Mixi from three wheels to two. First up, grab the tools that came with your Kixi product. You’ll need both to make the switch: 5mm Allen Wrench and Wrech (both shown with image from manual) Once you’ve got your tools ready, making the switch is a snap.
3 Wheels to 2
First, remove the right rear wheel using one wrench to hold one end of the double rear axle bolt in place and another to loosen the other end. Once loose, pull the axle bolt out and set the wheels, double rear axle bolt and double rear wheel bushings aside for storage.Next, remove the wheel spacers, then the deck cover. Once the deck cover has been removed, place the wheel spacers back in their original slots.Last, slide one wheel into the deck and slide the single wheel axle bolt through to lock the wheel in place. Using two 5mm Allen wrenches, tighten the single wheel axle bolt by again holding one end in place while tightening the other.
2 Wheels to 3
Once again, the first step is to remove the wheel using one Allen wrench to hold one end of the single rear axle bolt in place and another to loosen the other end. Once loose, pull the axle bolt and set the wheels, single rear axle bolt and single rear wheel bushings aside for storage.Next, remove the wheel spacers and slide the deck cover into place. Once the deck cover has been installed, place the wheel spacers back in their original slots.Last, slide the double wheel axle bolt through one wheel, then through the wheel spacers and deck. Once it has been threaded through, slide the other wheel on from the opposite side. Using two wrenches, tighten the double wheel axle bolt by again holding one end in place while tightening the other.Once complete, roll the scooter to ensure there is no play in the wheels. If you notice any play or wobbling, tighten the axle bolts until the wheels roll true.Recommended for ages 3 and older and will support a rider up to 45 pounds. The buyer and rider of the Razor scooter are responsible for knowing and obeying all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the riding and use of scooters.

Kickboard USA is the official distributor for Micro-Moblity, Switzerland, makers of the Mini Kick scooter for kids ages 2-5, the Maxi Kick scooter for kids ages 5-10, and a full line of quality scooters for teens and adults.
The Mini Kick is the quality choice in children's scooters. In 2011 the Mini was awarded the Parent's Choice Approved Seal and in 2009, it won the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold and Platinum Award Seals for Best Toy. The Mini also was named 'Best Pre-School Scooter' by Toy Report, 'Best Outdoor Toy' by Learning Express Stores and was featured on the NBC Today Show as part of its 'Best Toys for Summer' series.
What makes the Mini unique is its quality construction and 'lean-and-steer' design, which allows children to use their body weight to control the steering, giving them the feeling of 'surfing' the sidewalk, as they curve from right to left, almost like a skateboard. The lean-and-steer adds an element of stability and fun, great for learning balance and coordination.
The Mini's 3 wheels make it easy for even the youngest kids to ride. The youngest kids will normally start riding in a straight line but learn quite quickly, almost intuitively, to gently lean, in order to steer. The older kids (ages 4 and 5) become very proficient, curving right and left as they 'surf' the sidewalk. The rear brake adds to the safety and fun.
The Mini can be ridden inside while learning (or waiting for Spring) as the Italian made wheels are non marking.
The wheels and shock absorbent deck work in unison to provide an incredibly smooth, quiet ride, a joy for parents and children alike.
It is light weight (3.3lbs) and strong thanks to a fiberglass reinforced chassis, making it easy for parents or kids to pick up and carry when necessary. Weight limit 44lbs.
Children love to ride the mini kick daily, year after year and the modular construction means that all parts are replaceable, so it can last, virtually forever.

The Razor A Scooter is the original kick scooter. Updated deck design with aircraft grade aluminum t-tube and deck. Patented rear fender brake and patented folding mechanism that creates easier storage. Weighs only six pounds and easy to fold and carry.
The original kick scooter, the Razor A is a handy little ride for kids and teens alike. Though it'll never replace the internal combustion engine, the scooter will get your child from point A to point B much quicker than on foot alone, and requires just a few scoots of one's shoes in the process. Plus, it's a blast to use, as your progeny will likely attest.
The Razor A is built of aircraft-grade aluminum, a sturdy material that holds up to use and abuse through the years. Its T-tube and deck, meanwhile, fold up into a compact footprint, so riders can fit the scooter inside a bag or carry it at their side when riding isn't appropriate (it weighs around 6 pounds). And thanks to the 98 mm inline-style urethane wheels, ABEC 5 bearings, and patented rear fender brake, riders will always feel smooth and in control when kicking along the sidewalk.
Recommended for ages 5 and older, this version of the Razor A sports pink handlebars, a pink deck logo, and pink wheels, with a max rider weight of 143 pounds. It's also backed by a six-month warranty. For the next step up, try the Razor A2 Scooter.
